Why gems cost so much
Gems drop far less often than normal phases, and the colour is uniform across the whole blade. That rarity is why a Gamma Doppler Emerald Karambit sits at the very top of our market, next to an aurora in the hero banner.
Tip: phases are about the pattern, not the float. A Factory New Phase 2 and a Factory New Phase 4 have the same wear but very different colours, so always check the phase.
